Ma Ming Temple was built in the second year of Taiping Zhenjun (441), located in Houtun Village, Dawang Town, Guangrao County.During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Dharma Gate was prosperous and made it a famous Buddhist temple in China.Since the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the "destruction of Buddha" has led to the decline from generation to generation and then its destruction.
This tablet is the first unearthed relic of the Maming Temple site.The inscription is inscribed in the fourth year of Zhengguang (523), which was inscribed for the death of Master Old Gen. Moreover, Emperor Xiaoming of Wei changed the tablet three times.The book engraving is very exquisite.Although the surface of the tablet has been eroded, the font is still strong, rough and powerful, showing the color of Wei calligraphy.It has a high value of calligraphy research and is a precious stone carving preserved in the Wei tablet of China.The monument is a triangular spire, 167 high and 87 centimeters wide.The top of the inscription "Ma Wu Temple" 3 words, and the " inscriptions are engraved in the regular script, the word diameter of about 3 centimeters, 22 lines, each line of 30 words, a total of about 600 words.Because of stone residues, the text is not read.The exact unearthed time of this tablet is unknown, but its precious value has been highly valued in the Qing Dynasty.In the twenty-eighth year of Guangxu (1902), Song Qiduan, a native, wrote his rubbings, knowing that this tablet was hidden by a young man in Wangqiao Village.After being forced to find out by the county magistrate, placed in the county academy.In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the school was built in tun Village, including the school wall.1981 transferred county cultural relics department, 1984 transferred to Shandong Province Stone Carving Art Museum collection.
